Glock 9mm Options - These polymer shooters, shotguns may not be Glocks, but they still fire when you pull the trigger.
The Glock 17 was introduced to the world in 1982. Although many have questioned the revolver's polymer structure and hammerless fire control system, it has become a popular self-defense gun that is popular around the world. She also produced several copies. The Glock's straightforward handling, coupled with its reliability and ruggedness, has made it a favorite of law enforcement and armed citizens alike.

But with other Glocks now priced between $700 and $800, they are more expensive than ever. Because of all this tragedy and political madness, some cannot afford to buy a Glock or find one for sale at their local gun store. If you find yourself in one of those situations, this is for you

To be chosen from. They say that imitation is a form of sincere flattery, and while the following guns imitate the Glock, others offer much more at a lower price.
The Glock-like Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 has found favor with many law enforcement and concealed carry agencies. Smith & Wesson
The S&W M&P—currently in their 2.0 configuration—is a classic, original, Glock replacement. Base price starts at around $569, and like the Glock, it's available in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP with a 3.6-, 4.0-, or 4.6-inch, making it a comparable, compact, and work-sized Glocks. Feature-wise they are almost identical, and both the MP&P and the Glock come in user-friendly configurations. Even the M&P Performance Center costs less than a stock Glock. Many law enforcement agencies have chosen the M&P over the Glock, and over time, it has proven to be a reliable alternative to the legendary Australian. Check availability here.
Springfield-Armory's selection of XD revolvers is extensive, with small, medium, and large models in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. Like the Glock and M&P, they are polymer-framed, assault-style pistols, priced between $400 and $600. The Elite Optics-Ready version of the XD just pushes the price a shade over $700, which is less than most Glocks. XD pistols have an excellent reputation and in addition to their Glock-like trigger safety, they also have a grip safety. Power, dimensions, and weights are similar to both the Glock and the M&P. Glock Vs Sig Sauer: Which Is Better?
Walther's PPQ pistol, with its adjustable backstrap, is more powerful than the Glock, and the trigger feels much better. It also has an opaque slide lock and a reversible magazine release. Walther offers both models with four-inch and five-inch barrels. The size and weight of each PPQ is similar to comparable models of Glocks, XDs, or M&Ps. The suggested retail price is not much lower than the Glocks but it is higher than the retail price. Walther also offers a premium steel frame model they call the Q4. Check availability here.
One of the most overlooked pistols like the Glock is the CZ-USA P-10. Like all CZ-USA rifles, the P-10s are reliable, good shooting rifles. They come in a variety of sizes, with or without threaded barrels, sight-lengths, and proper sight cuts. With sub options, compactness, and working size, and barrel lengths of 3 to 4.5 inches, there are many models to choose from. A soft-swollen palm, deep beavertail, and three interchangeable backs make the P-10 adaptable to any hand. Check availability here.
Due to its versatility and adoption by the US Army, the Sig Sauer P320 is now Glock's strongest competitor. Sig Sauer
When the US military adopted the Sig Sauer P320, it became the most popular polymer-framed, single-action pistol, providing direct competition to the Glock. The P320s come in a variety of different models. The trigger is slightly better than the Glock, and the slide lock is less opaque. Standard, compact, and full-size guns are available. But what really sets the P320 apart is how the fire control unit can be swapped between frames to facilitate cartridge and slide length changes. P320s sell for about $100 less than comparable Glocks. Sarsilmaz SAR9 is a very good polymer rifle, made in Turkey. In addition to a trigger safety like the Glock it is also available with a thumb safety. Richard Mann
The affordable Turkish-made 2nd Edition was the winner of an impressively rigorous test by the Turkish military against handguns from Austria, Germany, Belgium, and the United States. It has a very low barrel axis, adjustable rear sight, and side grip plates. It also comes with or without a thumb safety. Making sense of all the different types of pistols in the Glock 9mm can be tricky. In retrospect, it would have been easier if Glock had just named their guns after the cartridges they were designed for: G9 9mm, G10 10mm, G40 40 S&W and so on.
But Glock names their guns after their brand, not their cartridges. The G17, for example, was Gaston Glock's 17th patent. Additionally, Glock offers many different pistols chambered for the same purpose.
It only follows that the Australian manufacturer should offer a variety of guns that contain 9mm ammo, the most popular self-defense gun cartridge in the world. Their model numbers tell you something about what makes these guns different. You should read them all, or check out our Glock 8mm models guide if you want to know what makes each model tick.
Ar Pistol Showdown
Glock's premier handgun, the G17 is used by LEOs, the military, and anyone else who can put their safety in a pistol around the world. We will spend a lot of time describing the G17, and most of what we can say about it applies to other Glock 9mm pistols.
Like all Glock pistols (and almost all 9mm handguns from other manufacturers), the G17 is short and effective. This means that the barrel and bolt only travel a short distance back together. At this point the barrel stops, the bolt continues to move back, and the spring compresses to initiate simultaneous feeding and ejection.
Like other Glock pistols, the G17 has a polymer-based body. Gaston Glock himself invented this proprietary product, called "Polymer 2." Simple but very strong, the polymer frame of the Glock is often underestimated simply because it is not as beautiful as a wooden frame. Contrary to popular misconception, Glock pistols are not "x-ray proof." 84% of the G17's weight is made of metal, Polymer 2 itself is X-ray visible.
The barrel of the Glock pistol is remarkable because it does not have a traditional rifle. Instead of holes and holes, its gun has a double-edged appearance. (Although the 45 ACP and 45 GAP have octagonal profiles.) Because the double-sided gun has no sharp corners, it is able to create a better gas seal that promotes more efficient ignition. It is also easy to clean.
Shooting Review: The Glock 19 Gen 5
All modern Glock pistols feature the manufacturer's Performance Safe. This system includes an integrated trigger safety (actually a trigger that can only be moved as long as the finger does not apply pressure), a point safety, and a firing pin safety. Naturally, you should carry the entire gun as it is always loaded, but Glock's many safety standards make it a safe choice for personal defense.
The G17 has a double magazine, where the cartridges are stored in two columns. This gives it great spending power and can make it widely accessible. It is important to note that most Glock 9mm magazines are interchangeable as long as they are (A) large enough and (B) the same shape (eg single pack or double).
